There are few cars that capture the spirit of classic American muscle quite like the Dodge Charger. As part of our upcoming Road Trip: RAM & Dodge DLC for American Truck Simulator, we're bringing the 1970 Dodge Charger 500 to the road.

The Dodge Charger 500 was introduced in 1969 as a performance-focused version of the second-generation Charger, developed with improved aerodynamics in mind for NASCAR competition. Its most recognizable features included a flush-mounted rear window that replaced the standard Charger's recessed glass and a modified front end designed to improve airflow. For 1970, the Charger 500 returned with updated styling for the new model year, including a redesigned grille and front bumper.


The 1970 model marked the final year of the second-generation Charger, building on the iconic design that had defined the nameplate during the muscle car era. The Charger 500 featured a distinctive front end with a wraparound chrome bumper, a clean grille, and the signature hidden headlights. Its long hood, sweeping roofline, sculpted bodywork, and revised rear styling gave the Charger 500 a character that remains instantly recognizable.



In American Truck Simulator, the 1970 Dodge Charger 500 will offer plenty of options to make this classic muscle car your own. The vehicle comes in two trim levels: Standard and SE, with the SE featuring a more luxurious interior and a special exterior badge. Players can also choose from different vinyl roof covers, a variety of exterior and interior colours, and two different steering wheels designs. It will also feature its iconic sliding headlight covers, adding to its distinctive front-end design.




Under the hood, players will be able to enjoy the Charger 500 with a V8 engine. Inside, both the Standard and SE interiors bring their own character, with multiple colour options to complement the car’s classic styling. A wide selection of aftermarket parts will also offer even more possibilities for personalisation.
