Now, Marion is one of the largest and fastest-growing cities in southern Illinois, with more than 17,000 citizens. Visitors can also find some beautiful nature spots in the surrounding area, such as Crab Orchard Lake with its national wildlife refuge full of diverse flora and fauna.
